Division 333 takes stand against total safety culture

Total Safety Culture is coming to the Twin Cities, even though four transportation locals/divisions in the Twin Cities Service Unit have voted collectively not to participate. As we have seen in other areas, union members are taking it upon themselves to go against there own locals/divisions wishes that we not participate in TSC. It has been suggested that there are union members already volunteering to be facilitators and observers for TCS, in the Twin Cities. In so many words we were told that TSC is coming whether we want it or not. Unfortunately, we cannot stop this part of the process. For this reason we may not be able to stop TSC from getting off the ground but, we can stop its flight if we stay unified.

Remember, TSC is strictly voluntary. You heard it in class. You cannot be observed unless you want to be observed. This is a very important part of the process. If we stay unified and respectfully deny “observers” the permission to observe the process is over. No observations, no data, no TSC.
